Where do you stand?

While online tests aren't definitive, I found a decent site to measure this;
Political Compass

Do the results correlate with your actual beliefs?

The test labelled myself as mid 'Libertarian Left', which is my political position and/or beliefs.. Such beliefs as wishing the elimination of bigotry where possible, internationalism, reducing xenophobia and fear, less gross inequality (Seeing true equality is virtually an impossibility, at least in the economic sense.)
..Just call me Leopold Bloom. ;)

But yes, where do you stand?

I didn't want to be a Left Libertarian (hippy :p) but I guess I am...

Socially - "yeah do whatever guys"

Economically - "CONTROL CONTROL!"

Strange isn't it?

You are all such leftists:p

Economic Left/Right: 1.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 2.26

I'm probably a bit more right and authoritarian than that but my views on civil liberties brought me more towards the center.

It was a bit corny. It was so obviouse where they got their ideas.
'Abstract art that doesn't represent anything shouldn't be considered art at all.' Gregor would know that that totally refers to Hiter. I dont really agree that everything that Hitler or Stalin ever thought or believed was left or right personified....but was fun anyway

Some of the wording is a bit dodgy - the first time I did it (a while back now) I took the statement at face value (relating to the use of some or all) whereas the second time i responded to the idea behind the statement.

Not the best test, as I don't really think my political beliefs can be classed left/right, as they differ, and I do not hold one ideal.

Economic Left/Right: -4.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 1.95

Ah, but they can, as is evident from your -4.75.

The scores of you leftists are sooooo far left. Melbourian is the highest scoring conservative (from my brief glances through the thread) and almost all of you leftists out do him. extremists!
