I'm really bad at maths and opted not to study it in year 11 and 12. It would simply bring down my UAI to much. I know that most degrees at uni recommend doing maths however my brother is doing a information science degree and he had to do maths as it was a pre-requisite. When he entered university he found he didnt really need that many maths skills. Regarding that the degress I want to study only state maths as an recommended study I decided that I could get through without doing maths.

so did my school...everyone had to do 2u maths, and there were no general classes

i dont think you can even drop it in yr 12 at my school, except for my friend who weaseled her way out of it...she's the only one :)

they can't MAKE you do maths rite? i mean its not like the board of studies says you hafta....

i guess they can't force you..but the school tries damn hard to! :)

they have all the 2u maths classes at the same time, so you have to choose something in that line, making it virtually impossible to not do maths
