hurrah! as i type my mother (ie person with credit card) is booking me and my friend tix for the SECOND show on the 7th.

when i called the metro there were still 13 tickets left for the sunday night show, although the JJJ site says that show's sold out it is NOT TRUE.

note there are different support bands for the two nights, on sunday it's 78 saab and on monday it's theredsunband and Dappled Cities Fly. go monday says i!!!

I'm currently in the process of trying to find a fake ID so I can see this show. Are The Shins playing any under 18 shows in Sydney?

if theyre playing anywhere other than the metreo maybe, cause the metreo serves liquor and cant have lil kiddies around trying to buy beer with fake ids.

pretty good, but i mean FF was a pretty hard act to beat...

...looking forward to The Shins next month...and the Monday night gig looks like a ripper, DCF and The Redsunband are awesome sydney bands. Hope The Shins deliver live ala Belle & Sebastian and Flaming Lips!!! After The Shins - Bright Eyes !

Love the Unicorns. Haven't seen them live thogh...I Was Born (A Unicorn) is probably one of my favourite songs from last year. Are they playing live somewhere?

yeah i heart The Unicorns! They played two gigs during december, didn't get to see them, which i regret, but from all accounts they were great live. I agree Jellybones and I Was Born (a Unicorn) are top notch tunes!!!!

How awesome were The Shins last night! I was impressed by the two support bands too. The Red Riders started off with a couple of bad song but got much better, a few of there songs were great. 78 Saab were excellent too. Overall it was a very awesome night!
