Just figured i'd post this to let you all know the disgust im feeling at this present moment!

I can't stand "the shipping news" now that i finished cloudstreet! Cloudstreet absolutely rocked! i'm really happy that we get to study it in Advanced english.....But now that i have to get back to re reading The shipping news for our Retreat From The Global topic i'm so cut!

I like this book before i read Cloudstreet.....now its just incomparable!

Yeah i really hated it the first time i read it but read it again and you pick more up! Proulxs sentence structures are what really shat me! And her queer-ass comparisons.
The thread....it was a vast space of white comparable only to the teeth of a small dog drinking froma bowl of toothpaste.
But hey at least they're unique and really make you pay attention!

I didn't like Shipping News AT ALL... although I have some friends who think it's quite good, so perhaps it's just a me thing...

i loved the shipping news but cloudstreet is excellent!!

i've actually read it through twice and then re-read my favourite bits which i am never capable of doing with english texts!
