does anyone know if the story in the siege is true or not and if it is where i can get hold of it thanks

i heard somewhere that there was a seige in reality, and ray martin (i think) went a bit too far m an got hold of the gunman on the phone. I'm not entirely sure, so don't take my word on it. DOn't know anymore.
