apparently yes. because i heard (when matt gave his speech on the news and stuff the narrator was saying) that the actors contract says that they are signed up for 2 movies, so they cant end the show unless they get those 2 movies completed, so as i said, its gonna be a while

But just because it is in the actors contracts, does that mean it HAS to happen? I'd have thought it'd just mean that they can't back out if the producers decide to make one.

I actually think a Simpsons movie would be a bad idea...I just don't see how it could *work*.:( But I'm sure it would be hugely successful regardless (I know I'd have my ticket!), and the producers would be laughing with the ticket sales...

no the actors were signed in a position to voice for the movie.. meaning that yes, a movie has to be done as it says that it had 2 movies to do! read wat i said properly :p

and the movie could work.. i mean southpark did! :)

Beat this - I love "The Simpsons" so much that my 4u English major work is all about the Simpsons. =)

In reply to some of the other replies, the new episodes are ok, some of them are a bit strange but. Like the one where they discover Principal Skinner is a fraud - that was just crappy in general.

My favourite episode is the one where gambling is legalised in Springfield. There's a scene where Homer has an argument with an autistic guy, and they both end up banging their heads and screaming. Now THAT was great.

Heh!

Lisa: "I had a bad dream..."
Homer: "Awww...you come and tell Daddy all about it..."
Lisa: "Well, I know it's absurd, but I dreamed that the Boogieman was-"
Homer: "BOOGIEMAN?! You nail the windows shut-I'll get the gun!"

ROFL!:D

hahahah yeh i loved that..
what about the episode where krusty apparently died in the airplane accident, and bart gets all upset and homer goes to tuck him in:

homer: "its allright boy, everyone dies once in their life time, heck, you might even wake up dead tomorrow! well goodnight son."
bart: *tucks himself in scared*

Hehehe...or when Bart was getting stalked by Sideshow Bob and Homer came running into the room wielding a chainsaw and wearing a hockey mask.
"HEYBARTLOOKATMYNEWCHAINSAWANDHOCKEYMASK!!!!"
:D

I think my fave Homer quote at the moment is this:
"Do you want to change your name to Homer Junior? The kids can call you Hoju!":D

And in that episode where Mrs Krabopple and Principle Skinner get together:
Mrs Lovejoy: "We are talkign about S-E-X. In front of the C-H-I-L-D-R-E-N."
Krusty: "Sex cauldron? I thought they closed that place down!" :D

And Ralph!
"Principle Skinner and Mrs Krabopple were in the closet making babies, and I saw one of the babies and the baby looked at me."

LOL! Ah...I will stop here or I will never stop.:p

I love the season currently playing on channel 10!!

"You don't make friends with salad! You don't make friends with salad!!"

I absolutely loved the singing one, I think someone mentioned it earlier
that paint your wagon bit had me in hysterics
"gonna paint your wagon, gonna pain it fine
gonna use oil based paint because the wood is pine!"

My favourite is the one where George Bush Sr moved in across the road from the simpsons..."hel-loooo Mr bush!!"
pure gold!! :D

did anyone watch that episode of south park where butters tries to come up with an evil plot, but finds out that the simpsons have already done all his ideas? I have no idea how the writers keep coming up with ideas, youd think theyd have done it all by now, but theyre still going. GOOD ON THEM!!!!:D

i like it when lisa got back from the itchy and scratchy movie and said:

You wouldn't believe the celebrities who did cameos! Dustin Hoffman, Michael Jackson. Of course, they didn't use their real names, but you could tell it was them.

referring to how they did cameos for simpsons under different names. not really funny, but i like it.

I already watched both of the episodes... good ol illegal internet streaming...
They're both alright, not overly hilarious.

Here's another good quote, from when Homer goes back to college to get a degree:

Prof: This proton accelerator destabilizes the atom in this chamber here, then propels it --
Homer: Uh, excuse me, Professor Brainiac, but I worked in a nuclear power plant for ten years, and, uh, I think I know how a proton accelerator works.
Prof: Well, please, come down and show us.
Homer: All right, I will.
[Everyone abandons the glowing green building]
[Homer walks out, glowing green himself]
Homer: [to meltdown men] In there, guys.
Men: Thanks, Homer.
