I thought she shaved her head as a tribute to Micheal Stipe?

so people who listen to music like that are trying to be cool indie chicks?
what about people with interpol avatars a cat power quotes in their sigs?
case solved.
verdict: scene.
no simpleton, the sad thing is not knowing about any of that music but buying it to appear indie...get it?

i saw the most sickening thing today... in some trendy clothes/music shop near me was this mother that had come in with a list of CDs that her daughter wanted to get because she'd heard they were cool (but had never even heard of the artists)
...so sad
Actually, this mentions nothing about her wanting to be indie or cool, only that she'd heard that the bands were cool. And you would be a filthy fucking liar if you said you never bought music because you heard it was good. How else are you meant to find out about good bands unless you buy their cds?
(not that any of the bands you mentioned were good/cool or indie)

I've never bought a CD that somebody told me was good. $30 is alot to spend without hearing a single thing on the album. If somebody recommends an album to me I listen to their copy or whatever first. There's also this great invention called the radio that very rarely plays good songs.
