It definitly is one of the best TV shows ever, and even when it's been a few years since it ended it is as current as ever.
The character of Matt Santos was based on Barack Obama, while Obama based some of he's speeches and expressions on the ones from Matt Santos
McCain and Arnold Vinick are very similar and Obama's new Chief of Staff was the inspiration of Josh Lyman's carachter
Yes of course, I don't know what I was thinking. I think one thing and type another.Rafy said:You mean secretary of state
Which other shows are you thinking of, that would be at The West Wings level?Teclis said:West Wing is quite good, not only because it deals quite well with the workings of one of the most powerful institutions (if not the MOST) in the world... but also because it deals with real human actions and errors and real consequences. There are other shows that I think are just as well put together and deal just as well with problems that humans tend to have... it's a shame more people don't watch them.
I honestly think the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, and Firefly in Sci-Fi are at that level.Ligeti said:Which other shows are you thinking of, that would be at The West Wings level?
I personally really like The Wire though they are totally different styles.
