We have one register at my work constantly freezes, then the scale will stop then the receipt machine will eat all the receipts

it always comes up with scale not responding... and in express you need the fucking things to work and quick

how do you get back into wowpos if it crashes and goes back to the desktop..

happened to me the other week...

I normally check all the connections to EFTPOS, scanner and the scales (especially the seperate ones) and then reboot the POS. There is a short cut on the desktop but i wouldn't advise it. They have a complicated boot up procedure and normally only stop working if an underlying service (eg: scales) has stuffed up. Checking the connections and rebooting restarts all the underlying services and then loads the WOWPOS gui.

I had a register one time where the EFTPOS failed and wouldn't log back onto the bank. I rang IT because i could be bothered and it wasn't busy. He fixed it remotely but stated that it was just the EFTPOS service had failed and a reboot would have fixed it just the same.

Went up to work, my god its ghost town in there! Stupid hag on self-serve made me resign my signature on the signature pad FOUR TIMES! and shes like, "Sorry you gotta do it again" fucking hell, she knows I work at the joint and glares at me like she doesn't know me, eugh someone get her off self serve, shes slow as batshit at it also!

Produce is a great department to work in. Its my third fav after perish and longlife. If I chose to, I would go 2nd dept produce.

-there is an 'ask for everyday rewards' sign which disappears once you scan something.
-on the customers screen, there is a button in the top left hand corner to scroll through the grocerys

I hate the new size/font on the computer screens, why did they change it smaller? what good does that do? I have to wear glasses when using them now and I didn't before. I think they should now factor into my SMS hours the time it takes me to walk to my locker to get my glasses every time I want to use a computer , its like 10 times a day! lol

Screen resolution has been changed to accommodate the new WOW Labour Planning system.

Stock Management and ISIS do not resize, so these applications will appear smaller.

People Planner and Back Office can be expanded to full screen by pressing Alt + Enter

Correct, you will no longer need to select Store Login before scanning the SCO barcode. Similar to NCRSCO.

Have no idea how to do a tender swap! haha!

Are you kidding?! Lol!! What happens if someone hits cash instead of eft?! Haha. Heres how to do it:
say the purchase was $10.08 and the operator hits $10.10 cash instead of etf.
You go supervisor menu --> tender swap --> and then it comes up with a blue screen, you type in $10.10 (rounding is required, or type whatever amount they hit) ---> press cash button on right sidexof the screen---> amount to be deducted from eft, $10.08 in this case ---> press eft button -->enter --> process as normal.

Easy as pieeee! Lol

haha the thurs night sup is away for 6 weeks, so the SSM asked me to watch front end tonight with another girl. i went to help a cashier who needed a control check cleared and i was like oh crap, i dont have numbers. thankfully the cashier across from him did, so i used her numbers. i then went and said to SSM i dont have numbers, shes like oh, ill fix that and boom, got numbers no questions asked. haha. i know about refunds etc. which will be enough should i get stuck watching front end again

i'm so amazed
problem is, now that i've done it once, they're going to expect that every week.

also, only one customer commented on how ugly my stripe shirt is. not too bad.
