eg. (sin30) ^2 + (cos30) ^ 2 = 1
(sin 87) ^2 + (cos 87) ^2 = 1
etc.

From the Pythagorian identity is derived:
sin^2 y + cos^2 y = 1 (y = theta)

most humorous
i wasn't referring to that one :)

You won't until you've done parametric differentiation in 4U maths. Also i said its not quite mathematically correct, but you'll get the drift.
I did 4u maths. I've now forgotten the stuff from high school. I might remember this stuff if you give me a hint as to what you meant. If it's too hard, then don't worry.

I don't believe it. I began this thread as a joke...more than 500 replies. Thanks for your pick-up lines. I should tell you that I actually have used the majority of them as a social experiment, most have failed horribly (I've been slapped that many times even smiling makes my face ache). Still...WOO!

Thanks for being our guinea pig by testing those pickup lines and telling us the results! :D

I can't believe that the girls you went up to were so mean.

Not all of them were mean *grins*. Now that you mention it, I was a guinea pig...so here's the conclusion.

Pick-up lines rarely if ever work. There are several factors that will lead to you picking up or not, including (but not limited to):
* Appearance (both yours and your target)
* Horniness (as before)
* Delivery (my success was based primarilly on my two modes of delivery)
* Originality (barring obviously creepy or offensive lines)
* Biology (there are factors here, don't ask me to list them)
* Location (some places are more famous for picking up)
* Atmosphere (a wedding or party works better than a church meeting, though I have heard of some successes there)
* Charm (be yourself)
* Social Status (let's be brutal, being a geek is actually better than being a jock/hoon etc, never exactly figured out why)
* Economic Status (Money talks, however, be sensitive, showing off in Australia is not nice)

And so on and so forth. Now, for some fun.

This thread:
* Was started by someone on the lowest social run of their school.
* Began as a joke.
* Made 'Davriel' a very popular figure at my school, though few knew of his identity.
* This thread was started by someone who is considered the Anti-Christ by his school (I went through the Catholic Education system).
* This thread actually has been of use to people studying social interactions between different genders.
* Contains my favorite pick up lines, ironically, I did not enter them.
* Is one of the few threads on BoS that has minimal e-bashing.

*Davriel proceeds to salute each and every person who posted on this thread*

Sadly, I will not be posting on this thread for some time, so if you want to contact me, drop me a message. Keep the lines rolling!

And remember, where there's a will, there's a way to get laid.

don't know if this one's there-
"Those pants would look great next to my bed"

Sidle up to a girl and say "Fat Penguin"
When she says "What?" reply "just thought I'd say something to break the ice"

for all you biology nerds out there :

I will fondle your vesicles while you caress my golgi body.
My stroma is leaking all over the place.
We can do it in the alpha or beta configuration, whichever you prefer.
You whip me with your flagellum, tubulin subunits flying everywhere.
We can make a mess as I've hired some lysosomes to clean up after.
Please have a smooth endoplasmic reticulum but know that I like it rough, if you know what I mean.
I also prefer my ribosomes bound...tight.
Spin me round with your basal body and make sure it's turgid.
Pump me up and down your concentration gradient, letting the chemiosmosis take control.
I can go both ways, just like an amphipathic phospholipid.
Do you like aerobic respiration as much as I do?

Some of those don't even make sense.
