only aust reality shows though. US ones finish on the dot and if it doesnt many angry calls are made.

Yea hate it when shows run overtime esp. when ur waitin for the next show... stupid, they can't really think that by watching those few minutes that u'll actually like that show when all u want to do is watch the next show.. Worst offenders are big brother and rove live.

In my mind, X factor screams out three things: "cheap imitation!", "ratings stunt!", and "talent quest fatigue!".
nevertheless, i'd much much rather see this do well than starstruck

the simple fact is that the level of quality entertainment of these reality shows simply don't compare to the best drama series (namely DH and Lost), the only reason reality can rate through the roof is because it's easy to follow and easy to discuss and debate. they're watercooler shows

but only time will tell if x factor has the X Factor ... or not.

but not every non-reality shows are like DH nad Lost... Those two are exceptionally created and you can't use them to represent other shows to compare with the X Factors.

but only time will tell if x factor has the X Factor ... or not.

plenty of Y factors (Dicko). yeah...don't you enjoy watching the crap auditions at least??

Like all of 10's ventures, eg Big brother, these reality shows die quickly. After the last sucky Austrialian Idol, I'm glad that they aren't doing it again.

IMO, the X factor is just an excuse to exploit the Idol idea, without paying royalties for using the Idol name/theme.

I saw Kelly's video Since U Been Gone this morning on So Fresh (which was very professionally done), then immediately after Kelly's video was Casey's crappy What's Going On video. lol

too late. it happened when Aust idol 2 premiered.

america idol had real talents

watching america idol, it makes me think that they have got people who really can sing and belt a song out with strong vocal, aus idol one was actually pretty good comparing to the 2nd idol show, comparing to all the contestants, guy sebastian deserves the idol title, they even have america idol four, i think probably aus idol will have the 4th edition too
