I’ve explained this to too many people so I’m gonna just copy and paste the message lol
so basically gossipgirll got banned for supporting Palestine and saying that people who support Israel are brainwashed or smth. and then when socialism tried to tell her to stay on topic she refused to. And then appreantley some other stuff like that happened this week which I;m not to sure of also contributed to her ban. And then now all eh 25ers are defending her and think that socialism shouldn't have banned her and everyone's bashing her. And now the 25 chat is locked and everyone's boycotting bos cause they think it's a dictatorship

I think last week people were arguing abt people being rich or smth. I honestly don’t everything that happened

I think there were some justifications for some action to be taken, but maybe not a ban? I think we should be mindful what we say online, not necessarily not sharing opinions, but more so being respectful. We don't know the specifics of what happened the past week, we only know a snippet of what happened.

I think the other mods will take appropriate action and review the chats, just give it some time. Obviously gossipgirl isn't entirely in the right, and neither is Socialism entirely in the wrong. It's a grey area and we don't know much so who are we to judge?

I also think that Israel is fucked but we literally don't know the whole story of the OTHER things that gossipgirl said? I don't care about what political view she had, and I think the other mods should lay off on the political side and focus more on the things that she apparantly said to Socialism, but she shouldn't have been banned.

I'll tell u what happened basically I said a joke ab someones parents making a lot of money right and was like "if i was making 700k a year I would not be studying" and than gossip girl replied "real" and basically the mod deleted it and said it was off-topic and the discussion of wealth is over and said we were inflaming or sum shit. And after that gg got pissed and said it was unfair and dumb which it clearly was and I don't think it was hurtful at all to anyone besides socialism.. And then the incident today happened so stupid.

Guys if you want to know what happened I would recommend reading the chat from page 249 (or earlier if @harxs is right about it starting from the wealth conversation), it's hard to summarise exactly what happened without ignoring something important

And @Socialism did clarify that it was not politically motivated so however we may feel about the ban itself (I can't quote bc the thread is locked and idk how to do it the old-fashioned way) that is something we can discuss separately
