I'm looking at senior courses I may be interested in. I have come across: "ARIS3675 - Society and Politics in the Middle East" (https://ssa.usyd.edu.au/ssa/handboo...ex=175683&session=1&academic_year=2012&back=1)

However, it says: "This unit is available as a designated 'Advanced' unit to students enrolled in the BA (Advanced) degree program." What does this mean? Will I be able to do it from a regular BA?

Yes you can do it in a regular BA. That note is purely directed at the BA(advanced) students who have to choose a certain number of subjects that are marked as 'advanced', however anyone can do them.
