ahh nick
god rest your soul...(and when the loving comes and we're already gone, just like your dad, you'll never change)
hmm, im obliged to say thom simply because i am finatical about radiohead. ive only recently been exposed to buckley's work <dodges projectiles>
thom yorke can be really sloppy live sometimes, but he has moments of sheer brilliance. i think its unfair to dismiss his early work as pablo honey displays some of yorke's finest vocal masturbation, such as the "she's running out" part of creep, and the really long screaming note in "you"
im glad shane pointed out that both yorke and buckley are terribly under rated guitarists, though i think its naive to say that yorkes lyrics have gone unpraised. he is, in my opinion, one of the finest lyricists of the last decade. its probably unfair to compare their song writing since buckley died before he produced a substantial body of work, but i would really like to know if jeff's style would have changed as dramatically as radiohead's. probably not, but it makes for a good fantasty
