When do tutorials commence? Week 1 or week 2?

2 of my tutorials begin in week 2, while one of them starts in week 1. On the timetable for Introductory Economics, it doesn't say when tutes begin.

Does anyone know? Should i contact the unit coordinator?

What do i mean?

Well normally we have a tute every week, the uni recently changed this for ALL economics and finance subjects (units) to fortnightly tutes, a new intiative by the uni to cut costs, this was reported just recently like 3 weeks ago, the academics don't like the proposal of change but they have to "adjust there course according". And academics are told to only use up 40 mins to mark ALL assessments for that unit for each student (including final exam). That are just going to put more M/C exams out i guess. Yep argh i feel sorry for those who are mainly affected. :(

I heard about the 40min to mark an assessment thing last year. My aboriginal studies teach was yakking on about it. But most of them don't listen to that. Most academics prefer to spend more than 40 mins marking an assessment and giving thorough feedback.

I have a tute for Intro Eco on Monday so hopefully they tell us more about it. Are lectures still on every week?
