As far as reading is concerened, if you havnt read it, dl an audio book, the book is far too big for it's own good.
Tiger in the Well - Ideas
1. Prejudice & Discrimination – Women Being Discriminated, NO power in the law.
- Women’s liberation, “No better than a common Prostitute” hyperbole and emotive language.
2. Evil balanced with good – People like Dr. Turner from the mission , The mission providing food, Mr. Cats who helps sally who says Sally is his Wife which is irony because he is Jewish and helps out English lady.
- Goldberg = IRA, unions, Quote about terrorists “They will kill people for no reason”, political sense, employment, politics environment
- Media (Technique) = Goldberg
- Miss Robins – Emotive Language.
3. Social Injustice – The law does nothing about men who beat their wives & Children with a red hot poker, ‘told the police about this’
- Sweat Shops. Domestic violence, refugees, White goods, Social Corruption.
