u didn't include normo (aka Normanhurst Boys')

oh...Ifeel rejected :(

but then again we are a second (or third...or fourth) tier selective school....Normo has no history...nothing (although that does have something to do with our school burning down 20yrs ago).

My school isn't the most fun place to be!

There seems to be too damned much emphasis placed on tradition and school reputation.

Mmm.. powerplay.

Agreed, though.
going on last yr's HSC results, we weren't the worst performing selective school for once....we beat Sefton, Normanhurst, Hurlstone (i think), Gosford, and some other obscure schools

I've never even heard of Fort Street but I think North Sydney Girls is pretty good. How about Grammer or Sydney High....who suck at rugby.

Our principal on the day presentation assembly proclaimed that he thinks our school is the best school in the world...
:D We're all thinking 'get real', but forgave him because he's new to our school...

I have heard of all these selectives... but isn't familiar with most of them

Our principal, deputy principal * 2 tells us that every assembly. And our principal's been here for like 15 years and is about to retire. Every single assembly. I have never been to an assembly where no one said that "this is a great school" etc. It usually preceeds some complaint about "now one or two of you are letting us down. A little old lady rang up to complain about some of you who catch the Campbelltown train because you were swearing. Now you know who you are. This is not Hurlstone. If you don't like our standards, go to your local high school. "

I'm glad I won't have to put up with that any more.
