Does anyone have any tips for approaching time dilation questions? I'm always getting tripped up by them in terms of which is the original and dilated time.

How am I meant to approach them?

The dilated time is always for another frame of reference, usually the observer. When thinking about original time just place your self in the mind of the super fast object or the person on the train.
