just curious, how much longer do you fellas have at uni be at macq or other unis (including possible honour/masters paths)?

i should be at macq for another 3 and a half years (1.5 years of bach then 2 years master), providing i dont fuck anything up. ;p

WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Hmm, I prefer not to think about it.
Ancient History is 3 years, then honours year, and law is god knows how long. There's also the fact that I'm a year behind in law, because I can't do law subjects this year. I might aswell just do a PhD once I've finished my double degree, so I can get the whole education thing done in one shot.

Hey. I don't sit there, you must have me confused. I have longish blonde hair, but it's not really curly. I generally sit next to Therese, the older Irish lady with bright blonde hair who always says something in the lectures.

I'm undoubtedly going to be stalked now (probably by a couple pretending to be french exchange students *cough*IvySteve*cough*), but who cares.

I'm here till 2009, so another 3.5 years... bugger. I better get a good job at the end of this hell. I guess the law part is worth the extra 2 years. Well, I hope.

now that unis finished, you get this thing called "free time", you might have heard or read about it, its pretty good.

another nice thing is that you dont constantly have "things you should be doing" hanging over your head like the sword of damocles.

the downside is working full time, the upside to that is being able to afford stuff (like living by yourself), and also the free time thing, you leave work at work and your home time is your time.

my degree is a pretty bit of paper in a delightful walnut frame hanging on my wall. in the first few years i was a bit of a jackass, screwed about and was generally irresponsible but eventually i got over myself, grew up and managed to avoid any major catastrophe. its just a piece of paper but everytime i look at it i see years of hard work that i put my heart and soul into, the people i met, the people that supported me, and i really feel i accomplished something. it was worth it and i have no regrets. im glad its finally over though.

im doing postgrad now at a different institution, its ok, beats undergrad. the admin are much nicer and you get straight into the good stuff. mid 06 isnt too long, you're nearly there. i was kinda in the same boat not wanting to work full time (i cant stand "corporate culture") so i worked for myself for a while, then i got offered a cool job with a good corporate/pay/free time balance so i took that.

Well if i follow my recommended program of study correctly, i should finish at the end of 2007.

But if i decide to go on exchange, i'll hav to add on at least another semester...
