Just curious as to how everyone went in the titration pracs.

I went horrible. Lets put it this way - I cut myself on the pipette.

Any other success or disaster stories?

I've always enjoyed titrations actually, it's one of the few school pracs where you can get decent results .

Is a pipette sharp enough to go through someone's hand?

I dunno, only heard about it...

If you hold the bottom end really low, and push the pip. filler downwards on the upper end really hard, you can actually break the tip of the pipette and it can become really sharp as you're pushing it.

But would that happen on someone's hand? I know pipettes do break fairly easily, someone managed to do it trying to get that last drop out (no-one has told him that the pipette manufacturer had already allowed for it ) last yeaar, but that was against the side of a beaker.

And what the hell was with the real result =34.00mls, and his "real" answer of =4015mls ... ?????
