Well it gives you the required subjects you need to gain entry into either or both the CPA and CA programs yes. I mean those programs are another 2 years of study while working to actually get the accreditation 
Accounting is not too bad. Depends what your into I guess. If you like the introductory subjects then you probably won't mind it.
