I like having tongue, but the way I see it is slightly different from the 'horniness' explanation. I reckon it's about being emotionally vulnerable to the other person, and having intimacy... and in a relationship, that's really important.

I'm trying to say that closeness n intimacy are important... and tongue helps that, but not necessarily is the only thing that contributes to it.

I think for all couples there's a degree of sloppiness, because no 2 persons' saliva has the exact same viscosity, flavour, volume etc.
