My gf wants one, but apparently they damage your teeth. It doesn't really bother me either way.

EDIT: But then again she's got 9 others so yeah :p

I don't think that tongue piercing is nasty, but I wouldn't do that.

i'd think lip piercings would be worse for your teeth than tounge ones. tounge piercings are fairly far back, i cant really see them doing that much. i know densits hate lip piercings caus they can stuff up your gums and they can probably scratch your teeth a bit too

Lip piercings tend not to be going back and forth that much.

off the top of my head, i think your lips move around a lot more than your tounge moves fowards enough for a piercing to get your teeth that much

The constant pressure of the labret backing and even miminial movement can cause gum recession and enamel damage.

Some people thrust their tongue at night without knowing it...so if you're tongue is pierced and you do it it probably could do some damage to your teeth
