Is there somewhere u can find out the top mark in the state for each year...would be interesting to know for practise. Or if there is anyone out there who has the marks from 95+ could u post them. Thanks

X-head teacher at our school who marks hsc's said top mark in 2003 was 103 (or 104) and i think Keypad (the guy who topped it) has said it was low hunderds as well...


but theres stats for the old hsc
its pretty boring really

guy from Barker who topped the state in 2001 accelerated maths 2u and topped the state in that in 2000..

so if u want to top the state... prob need to work a little more.

i know in 2003 there were 2 on full marks, but the markeres desided this couldn't happen so they took 1 mark of one of them.

if u get 100% u get 100/100 for your HSC MARK, keypad didnt... and he topped the state

The guy that topped the state in 2003 was taught by my teacher...he swears he lost about 14 marks...so low hundreds looks about right. As for ex 1 topping the state, last year I think i estimated about 74/84, but u can never be sure. If u guyz have marks for 2000 that would be great too, seeing that is the hardest one in the last 5 years. 1995 also - respect for that guy 113 - I found 95 a bitch.
Edit: If you get top of the state that doesnt mean ur course mark is 100 right, like if its a really hard year?

i think with the new hsc, you only get 100 if you got 100 in the exam.

hence, why heaps of people get 99 in 4unit instead of 100

2002 is on the standards package, and if you go to question 8 ... what do you see.. NOTHING because no one got full marks. (the exemplers)

Turtle thinks he got 119.. probably right too.
