Like about a billion other posts im in the market for a laptop--having heard good things about Toshiba from about half a dozen people, I've Narrowed it down to 2 choices, and have a couple questions:

1)
Toshiba
Intel Core Duo Proc T2300 1.66Ghz Clok Speed 2Mb L2 cache
667 Mhz FSB, Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Tech
1gb DDR2 533 (2*512)
60Gb 540 RPM HDD, DVD Super multi Double Dual Layer
15.4 inch WXGA TFT 1280*800

2)
Intel Core Duo Processor T2250 1.73 Ghz With enhanced intel speedstep technology (53Mhz FSB)
1gb DDR2 533
DVD Super multi Double Dual Layer
60Gb 540 RPM HDD SATA
14.1 inch Widescreen XGA 1280*800
Graphics Intel Graphics Media accelerator 950 (945GM) with up to 128 mb shared video memory.

the rest of the spec's are largely the same wireless, bluetooth, full array of ports etc.
Dont know what the graphics are on option 1, but i suspect they are largely the same.

option 1 is marginally more expensive; however my main question is weather i will get any performance gain at all from the Higher FSB seed of the T2300 setup, given the Ram is ony 533mhz?

Thanks for the help

Go for the first on if you dont mind paying a little bit more. I am guessing the second one is Dell.

As for the performence, there's going to be little difference between them. They both have a similar set up. I run on DDR400 RAM it's more than enough.

depends what you want to use it for basically....if for uni work and music and such, then i would buy the more cheaper option, ie 2nd one
but theres not that much of a difference between the first and 2nd option, other than the different processers and one having a smaller lcd monitor than the other

but its your money so in the end, youll have to make the decision yourself

Ye bascailly what az_gagnsta said. If you want a better processor and a wider screen go for the first option, if you think they are not worth it or there are no benefits towards your usage go for the second. What's the price difference anyway?
