They've had a bit of stuff on this sorta thing on the footy show and the like lately... The toughest player I think I've ever seen was Geoff Toovey. But in the game today I'm not so sure. Blokes like Webke, Fitzgibbon spring to mind. Andrew Johns is another. What does everyone else think?

(Notice I named this thread "toughest" and not "hardest" man in league to avoid any erection puns)

If it's things mentioned, how the hell does Andrew Johns come into it?

You seen John's fly in for tackles? He's pretty good, he would make a good hooker too. Monty Betham is up there as well.

i reckon Fitzgibbon would be one of the toughest....he has a massive workload of tackles and hit-ups every game.

bazookajoe? and that's all... seriously, I know every player has their critics, but how can you try to say Johns isn't tough. I'm tempted to attack you personally and tell you obviously don't know too much about the game but I won't (hah guess I pretty much just did). I know he's had some injuries of late... but toughness doesn't extend to expecting a player to play with ruptured ligaments in their knees.

My biased opinion is Fitzgibbon. My non-biased opinion is Fitzgibbon.

Fitzgibbon and Hindmarsh. And O'Meley. And Morley. And probably a few more.

John Sattler, playing a Grand final with a smashed jaw is really tough

I vote for Fitzgibbon too! And I reckon Jason Cayless is pretty tough... but maybe it's just my love of Roosters speaking.

Lincoln Withers is tough! He played with a broken nose plus he is one of the smallest players out there.
