Hi,

I got an ATAR or 88.30 and I want to do an Actuarial Studies course. Since I can't do one straight up (even with 5 bonus points added) what course should I do so I can later transfer into an Actuarial Studies course? How would I go about doing this?

Thanks in advance,
WTW

B Economics at UNSW with 5 bonus points, get 75 WAM and then transfer after getting 36 credit points (6 subjects) into B Commerce. Also choose courses carefully so they can be credited to your Commerce degree. IE do ECON1101, ECON1102, ECON1202, ECON1203, ACCT1501, and if intending to do a finance double with actuarial which is what most people do and is smartest since u need FINS1613 for actuarial exemptions, do FINS1613, FINS1612 and if u do FINS1613 in semester 1 u can do FINS2624 as well in semester 2.

Would it be wise to do B Applied Finance at Macquarie University and then transferring to B Actuarial Studies? How long before I can transfer? One semester; one year?

I don't know too much about MQ as I go to UNSW but I do know they have a very easy and simple way of doing internal transfers in which you are guaranteed entry if u have sufficient marks and do not go through UAC, so ATAR isnt taken into account and u also dont have to pay UAC to do it.
