Transferring From Maths/Finance to Bcom at UNSW (1 Viewer)

I am thinking of donig Adv Science Maths and Finance at UNSW, and was wondering if it would be possible to transfter to Bcom after 1 semseter. I would have fully completed ACCT1501 Accounting and Financial Management 1A, ECON1101 Microeconomics 1 and part of ECON1102 Macroeconomics 1 from what I can tell using the class timetables.

I'd need to catch up on the remainder of macro and complete another 12UOC in the BCom course during the second semester.

Is this possible? Can I transfer between course and faculty between semester one and 2 having already studied half the required Bcom UOC for the first year?

I ask this because I really don't know what I want to do at Uni, and I don't want to waste my entire first year doing something that isn't going to work for me.

Yes, just go to the Commerce faculty student centre and fill out some paperwork to drop the Science part of your degree (assuming you mean you want to do BCom/BSci(Adv)).

No I don't have the UAI for that I'm an ACCESS student but I got 92.25, the Bcom courses under access were like 93.25 or something. I'm putting Commerce first, but I doubt i'll get into it. This is the Science Advanced course, but you do a maths and finance stream, where from what I can tell, no science is involved at all.

Is it possible to do B Com/B Sci (Adv) at UNSW? Isn't that only offered at USYD and starting this year, they're renaming it back to B Com/B Sci. So basically, you can't combine B Sci (Adv) with B Com.

Or am I wrong?

No, you can't. You can follow the same plan and if you do Honours in Science, then you will get an Advanced Science degree. But Honours is Honours...Advanced Science is just a gimmick. Your academic transcript will tell all.

I think minushuman is doing plain BSc(Advanced). In that case, he might have to go through UAC again
