Hi Everyone,

Currently my WAM sits on a 68.5 WAM after 78 units of credit which is clearly not enough for an internal transfer (75 WAM). Does anybody know how lenient UAC can be? or any stories of people getting in with a lower or equal WAM? I either want to do it at Sydney Uni or UNSW. The other issue is that i don't know what to do with this semester before rounds start for UAC. I was thinking of doing commerce subjects to take up my free electives for my current degree. My current degree has 4 free electives. I am also scared these subjects will not take my WAM up. I was thinking of doing easy subjects that have nothing to do with commerce to take my WAM up but those will not carry over to the commerce degree. Any thoughts? Deferring a semester is an option. That however, will not increase my WAM or complete any commerce subjects.

If your ATAR isn't 97+, your chances will be slim (for UNSW). UAC will use 25% ATAR, 75% WAM. UAC is just a service used by the universities, so they don't exercise any leniency - they listen to what the universities tell them to do.
