Good luck for Postmodernism!

Remember, just use the conventions for your 'creative' part! And do you know what you're talking about? Don't randomly quote Lyotard, Barthes, Derrida, etc!

What supplementary are you using?

supplementary - ie related material

I did barely any study and I got 94% (47/50).

I think some schools didn't use a lot of foresight when scheduling trials tho.

I got 49/50...just to answer my own thread.

Lost my mark on the 'creative' part. Wasn't very creative.

umm, i actually didn't study, and that's where i lost my marks - the second question you could just bullshit with a bit of theory thrown it (i got full marks for that), the essay question i only got 22/25, because i didn't study hard enough.

what elective are you doing? if it's postmodernism i can help out...

ohhhhh... hmm
im doing Retreat from the Global..
and its weird because in our first term of the HSC, our teacher taught us some work by Leotard, Derrida, etc on Philosophy and then went onto some parts of Post modernism...which isnt in our course?!?!?!

yeah, but rftg is a post-modern concept, so it ties in.
rftg is theory-based as well i think, do you have some token quotes to throw in? i.e. i just put in random shit like "we are in society and society is in us" to make it look like i had done my research :p

i am not a good example for the record. try and emulate the person who got 49/50, they probably *did* study ; )

44/50

25/25- critical response- Crime Fiction

19/25- 'creative' response (for anyone that did the CSSA trial, it wasnt very creative for that genre question, was it?) lol

Haha, Sonik. I'm glad you dedicated your first post to me...but no. I only got my mark after I started the thread...

As for studying tips...basically I just make notes on all the texts I have, pick out all the conventions of postmodernism, which I linked back to theorists...
