Not sure if anyone here would relate to me...

I havent studied for four unit at ALL. im not confident in ANY topic [bar integration], and i don't want to fail the CSSA on Monday. Though i highly doubt it will happen, i still don't want to come last out of my school (or second last), there is only a handful of people.

We haven't touched mechanics, so that wont be in it. Someone please give me advice.. and if its worth noting... i find complex + conics more harder than the volumes/graphs/poly/integration.. im just not motivated as i loathe those topics.

argghh what can i do to pass on monday..?!

*prays*

Yeh, integration is the shit!
And volumes is mad aswell. Is anyone else amazed how when you work out the volume of a pyramid using integration, you get exactly the formula?

Heh I was like "So that's why they never showed us the proof for that formula in yr 8..." :p

If it didn't then there'd be a huge problem.

I think the reason we like integration so much, is because you do it twice, [sort of] at least by substitution. I found integration by substitution challenging when we covered it in ext1, but then when we got into ext2 and I suddenly loved it and found it easy.
I also was surpised the formulas were the same.. I was expecting the stocko formula from year 8 to be some kind of approximation, like they rounded it to a pretty fraction we could deal with. I was impressed to find that we'd copped the real thing all along.

Hehe -- I think that's when I really started doing integration -- saw the formulae for various volumes and demanded a proof from my Yr 7 teacher. :p Was also quite impressed. *insert picture of light bulb turning on above strange cartoon caricature of me*
