If memory serves me correctly then you have about a month or so until the trials begin, right? I know that this is the last school holiday before graduation. You have all the time in the world these school holidays (I hope) so don't blow too much of it away. Do study, catchup, revise and practice but remember: after all- it's a school holiday. Just put in a couple of hours a day. That'll be fine.

Is there a soul out there who hasn't procrastinated and is totally ready for the trials?

Re: Are you ready for the trials?

I still need to finish my assessments before I can start studying for the trials.

So basically, I am kind of screwed.

Re: Are you ready for the trials?

My suggestion to you Ice: to finish the assessments as quickly as possible so you can REALLY start studying. The trials should have the biggest weighting for all subjects.

Re: Are you ready for the trials?

Trials are a trial.

I didn't even put in a couple of hours in the hols before trials. Don't worry in my experience as long as you don't get sick or burn out you can still win at lif ... trials.

(Case in point, one friend i know spent the hols making notes and doing past papers for a subject but when school started got sick in the 2nd week. They had to use an estimate which was ok but made their efforts fruitless - no it wasn't for agriculture)

Re: Are you ready for the trials?

not ready yet...but I will be

just an essay for english and a research task for chem to get out of the way, then I can begin revising.

I don't wanna burn out though - uhh such a quandary! It is difficult to balance between sanity and performing well lol

Oh well...I even decided to boycott studying for the UMAT - trials seem more important.

anyways good luck everyone!!!!!

Re: Are you ready for the trials?

pft. thanks for the reminder sparcod.

i'm so focused on just catching up at this stage that actual revision and study seems a long way off.
in short, i'm quite screwd.

Re: Are you ready for the trials?

Do u guys have a fortnight assessment free period before ur trials? at my school no subject was allowed to have an assessment due in the two weeks... i thought this was mandatory for all schools? but by ur posts it doesnt sound like it..

Oh and yes im ready for my trials... because they are over :D

i feel sorry for you tho because u still have the pain of the trials... i just have the pain of majors.

Re: Are you ready for the trials?

Yer we were meant to have that 2 weeks free thing, but they postponed 2 assessments (our last 2), into the second week before. I plan to finish my actual homework some time this week, and start my assessments next week, so i can study those 4 school weeks to trials.
