Q) Find all values of ø, domain 0-360degrees, given sinø+2/3=0.

I'm just confused with the 2/3. Could someone help me out here?

sin(x) = -2/3

now sin inverse 2/3 gives 41.8 degrees, and sin is negative in third and fourth quadrants

so answer = 180+ 41.8 and 360 - 41.8

x= 221.8, 318.2 degrees

just because it doesnt five an exact ratio doesnt mean u should be scared

yeh, that will get full marks in an hsc

im fairly sure the problem the OP had was because he didnt get 30,45 or 60 degrees as the related angle, and thus thought he was doing something wrong

would the question make sense if it was sin(theta + 2/3)?? instead of sin(theta) + 2/3?
