apparently it's as crap as North Shore which is apparently very crap.

I heard james an was pretty crap. they give you like 1 paragraph to read for homework and tell you to oink like a pig

Apparantly that is true. I went to James An Eastwood in year 5-6 and didn't get into a selective school. I went to North Shore Chatswood and my school cert marks were pretty dodgy.
I have a private tutor, but I'm not sure that she has the time, she sometimes says that she has uni exams to do.

I go to James An in Ashfield... it's not generic... The problem with most tutors is that they photocopy some stuff and just hand it out, i mean, you could do that at home...

James An Ash is good, only problem is that there's quite a lot of students...

Consider 1 on 1 tutoring with a past student who is an impoverished Uni Student?

North Shore is the same, its just photocopies from various textbooks.

NB: I do one on one tutoring, for Maths Ext1, English Advanced, and Economics

from personal experience north shore is better than james an.

i went to norht shore at chatswood for enlgish and maths.. maths was sorta shit.. but enlgish was the best..... btw there is onli one good teacher who is realli worth it.. his name is mr. Waldron and he is absolteuli the best ever.. we became realli good freinds and he has inspired me to look abt literary theory and other intersting theories.. eg; chaos, psychoanalysis, and nietszche etc

yeh.. i had mr waldron in 2003. he was ok- only one downfall- he was lazy on the marking of homework.
i had him for one term- fourth term 2003, u wouldn't have been in that class were u?

I've heard of both too, and I've been to James An. As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing good about it or other class tutorings, and a private tutor would always be the best, except there's no chicks.
