I hope when all the results come back, Coffs Harbour High have a disproportionately enormous number of Band 6's in english (eg. the entire cohort), and then the Board offers some half assed explanation like...

"It's something in the water up there, we swear."

I was at Coffs Harbour High today, I do Advanced English there were *NO* PAPER 2's handed out. Unless the standard students received them, and very little fuss was made but I highly doubt this.

If it did happen at all it would have either been at CHEC (Coffs Harbour Education Campus - connected to SCU), John Paul Catholic College, Bishop Druit Anglican College or Coffs Harbour Christian Community High School, I can't think of any other Coffs High School..

But I can say with 99% certainty that it wasn't at Coffs Harbour High School (note: Orara High School students went to Coffs Harbour High School for the exams). I wouldn't be suprised if the story is entirely fabricated.

Unless 'Meldrum' can shed some more light on this?? What school do you goto?

Why has 2005 been such a controversial year? First the leaking of the CSSA trial, now this...

That's what happens when the supervisors are all geriatric.

who cares

seriously people do you really want the paper delayed, youre postphoning the inevitable. out of 65880 students i doubt many if any have an advantage, but i know we will all be disadvantaged if the paper is delayed. it will intefere with other exams and study routines we may have, plans we have made etc.

also, its like ONE damn exam, youre going to do so many more in your life for all u uni hopefuls, i just wanna sit the paper and get it over and done with. we will all come out with the uai we deserve anyway.

Indeed. Maybe 2 or 3 students out of 66 000 have seen one or maybe two of the questions. Let's talk about it AFTER thursday when people can talk freely about the questions of the exam.

That way we can all happily do it and no one will have to resit anything.

i think that the board will look at proportion. it is an insignificant number of students that had actually got hold of the advanced cohert. however, this does affect us. this margin of .05 of our uai would be affected. some of us may be missing out on our courses due to this incident. something must be done, and done quick. it is clearly unfair that one as a student is treated as a number. yes i do see the irony in our student numbers.

yet if indeed it has been leaked, therefore a repriniting must be placed. if i am to be placed at a disadvantage and miss out on my course by a small margin i will not be happ. nor will many others.

i presume that many on this board will agree with me on this issue.

by the way, that aos paper was quite difficult...that first section was complicated. they seem to specialise the texts every year. this time i will assume that it was an imaginative journey focus. :D
