there is N and P type doping, Negative and Positive.

Negative consists of adding an extra election, positive consists of adding an extra 'hole'... i belive, i dont have my notes handy so dont quote me.

Yes, I know everything about N and P type doping (and everything about every other dot point in the syllabus), but want to know what Type I and Type II semiconductors are...

um.. are u thinking of Type 1 and Type II superconductors?
Type 1 are pure metal/alloy superconductors
Type 2 are ceramic superconductors.

type II relatively higher critical temperature and field stregth, cannot b explained by BCS, brittle
