MY PIN WONT WORK!

1. Tried last year's PIN - didn't work, as expected
2. Tried the 'new' PIN (this year) - didn't work!

I have my correct Student/UAC number,
and I have typed my PIN with num-lock on "slowly", just to make sure it's not my fingers that are playing up.

Hey, wait a minute... how many digits are in your student number, guys? I have 8! 135xxxxx

But the website/UAC states (error login report)

"Your UAC Number and PIN have not been accepted. Please check that you are entering your nine-digit UAC number and your four-digit PIN.
Please try again."

I'm an accelerated student, so my UAC/Student Number is one digit short, if anyone is wondering. I was given two UAC/Student numbers this year, although the new number did not have my preliminary records (13Units) so that caused problems. I'm using my "old" (original) student number because it has been updated to include my new units in the HSC.

Is anyone else in the same situation?

Your UAC number is your BOS number with a 1 in front of it.

Yeah, a friend of mine entered the "1" infront and it worked for him.

It still doesn't work for me
Even with the 1 in front (making 9 digits)
and entering my PIN one digit at a time, double checking on the PIN-letter LOL

The Board of Studies assigns you with a Student Number.
e.g. "13529123"

your UAC number will then be your Student Number, with a 1 in front. ie "113529123"

We normally use our student numbers for trial and half yearly exams (student confidentiality, no discrimination, etc).

It's a pain to lookup for teachers though I would imagine, when handing back english essays etc. "Who is 124353229...?"

.... --> Just go to www.uac.edu.au Then go to the Undergrad section. Then, in the frames, it should have 'Login Access' (the 3rd in bold), under that is 'Apply-by-Web'. click on it, and then a screen comes up with '2004 addmissions', a yellow box saying that applications have opened, (and close 30th Sept.) and underneath that a "Apply Online" button. Press that, and a new screen opens. Thats where you start - You need your student number, PIN and a Credit Card (your parents, I guess ). If you or your parents don't have a credit card, then you need to apply-by-phone..

Rage, your student number - just get out your record of achivement, or even your School C. They both have your student number on them

My UAC Number and/or PIN combination still does not work.
I've emailed UAC, so they'll get back to me in 2 working days

Used my correct Student Number (with and without a 1 in front).
Used my OLD PIN, as well as my NEW PIN.

To no avail.

Who must apply through UAC?

1. attempting a 2003 Australian Year 12 in Australia; and /or
