i was wondering, in the uac letter, it's got a brochure talking about the UAI.
It says that the UAI is based on RAW hsc marks.
My question concerns the fact that i do 4u maths and my raw mark isn't gonna look as pretty as 2u maths ppl. Therefore is that statement wrong?

Don't worry, you'll end up with a uai of a 100

no it wont matter because youre compared with the standard of other 4u maths people across the state... so even if you come last, that means you're coming at the bottom of the top so it wont matter...

i got my sheet thingy today and couldnt work out where the pin was written...haha im so lost today!

UAI Pin is too easy to find out if you ask me... it is Your Birthdate, Your BirthMonth and i cannot remember the last one...

i couldnt find mine either...

i was getting worried until saw bottom of the sheet.

No. The statement is correct. Your raw exam marks are standardised and then scaled. Those scaled marks are used to provide new moderated assessment marks, and then both are combined into an aggregated TES before being converted to a UAI.

It's done after the scaling occurs.

Your PIN is only based on your birthdate if you are a UAC applicant who is not a 2002 NSW HSC student.

My PIN is nothing like my birthdate, and I know a couple of twins and their pins are different to each other.

im not sure whether i should ring now or wait, cos i pretty much know what i wanna do...either architecture or art theory...so should i just do it or what?
