Will you get credit for any of your first year subjects, or have you got another five years ahead of you?

That must mean that Com (Lib) was the most popular course to transfer to! (aside from something like Med).

It's tough when most other courses dropped, whereas Com (Lib) increases..

Com (Lib) just has a very small intake (65 I think). Only 6 places were for NRSLs. Doesn't necessarily mean that it was popular, could just mean that people with 97+ uais wanted to transfer. Damn it, how i wish i tried in year 11. A uai of 95 would be so useful right about now.

I had no idea the nrsl for com (lib) was so high.... I was intending to do it if I didn't get my ideal transfer, heh.

Current Course: B. Business UTS
Transfer Course: B. Commerce USYD
GPA: 5.0, or a bit less, i think :p
2004 UAI: 91.80
NRSL: 90.4

I think the NRSL cut-off for B. Com at USYD was about 89.

It seems to me that there are many more transfers from other unis into UNSW, and very few people like me, from another uni into USYD. Most USYD transferees are already USYD peeps who just transferred into a different course.

I wonder why's that? I'm feeling pretty lonely right now... :p

Not sure about other unis, MQ has an internal transfer so you don't really see it through uac, unless they apply externally, and USYD and UNSW usually hold most of the first preferences for people, but they didnt get in initially, and worked their asses off for first year to get in.

And bad luck stas, *hands over the firebomb* do what must be done.

There is chance for me yet. I emailed one of the head honchos on the eco + bus faculty board and sent him a document showing my academic and social contributions to university life. I indicated that if he believes that they could make an exception to arrange a meeting with me. Got an email yesterday :)

Dear Stanislav,

Thank you for your email and yes I agree your contribution to student
life sounds very impressive! I have tried to call you on your mobile
but do not seem able to get through. If you would like to call me,
please try either my office number below or my mobile XXXXXXXXXX.

Its B Arts & Sciences - UAI cutoff around ~75.0
A 5.0 GPA means a selection rank of 90 according to that schedule thing, so 60.xx+90/2 = 75. Makes sense I guess. But the NRSL cutoff may have been less than the UAI cutoff so ...
