I'll jump in here. Based on half-yearlies (went a bit better in assessments before that but nvm). Not sure about class sizes for the bigger ones, these are pretty close.

English Adv - 1/26 - 80% ( but I intend to pull this up - first 2 assessments were closer to 100 than 80. I can returnnnn to gloryyyy!)
English 3u - 3/6 - 85%
English 4u - 1/3 - 95% (for the proposal... sooo doesn't count haha)
Modern History - 1/19 - 96%
Society + Culture - 1/7 - 90%
IPT - 2/40 - 91%

i wouldnt worry too much about the marks yet...even though theyre pretty good, but ill just focus on getting the best rank as possible, and by the looks of it, youre doing just that
you have your rank so far for each of your subjects up to this point?
you keep this up and im sure that youll get 90+ easy

religion 2u: 1/50ish ppl (100%)

modern: 2nd/26 (94% i think)

maths: top 10 out of around 60 ppl (79%)

english adv. : first assessment: 5th, 2nd assessment: 6th, 3rd assessment: 52nd all out of 99ppl. we have 60% of the course left...so i'm not quite sure where i stand, i think maybe top 30.

ext english: 13/48

decent ranks youve got there....11 units, so it looks likely at this stage that your ext english would count and 1 out fo 2 units for adv english would count
looking good so far for 90+, so keep working hard at it

How does scaling work? Do they compare your marks compared to your class or to the grade as a whole?

Also, how do they calculate the best 10 units if your doing 11 units and the worse 1 is a 2unit subject?

Scaling works to make the system fair whatever subjects you are doing - ie if people doing a subject tend to do well in their other subjects, then it will scale up. This makes it fair as people doing that subject are competing with better students.

Moderation of assessment marks is compared to the whole grade (everyone who does that subject at your school).

The mark for your worst subject will be halved, making it worth one unit.

Mmm, not that sure, but probably 70-80ish? They're not the best scaling subjects (From experience, seeing as I did Legal, English Adv, Modern and Business).
