you put in the raw marks i think. that's not a prediction, that's putting in random numbers

i stand by my prediction :p a school around 50 mark has an avg uai of 80-85. the OP is quite a bit above avg.

i know they are raw marks - but srsly, do u think that they will jump your UAI up by like 15?? i dont think so

plus the scaling isnt going to help marks in the 60's that much

RAW marks aren't necessarily indicative of your prospective HSC mark; there are a number of variables that might influence scores during the assessment period (i.e they are NOT standardised, like the HSC).
- scheduling of assessments
- marking procedures
- difficulty of the assessments

On top of that, we don't know what the raw exam marks in the HSC will equate to, in terms of the FINAL external mark (which is then used to moderate internal mark, yada yada). Making the assumption that these marks will be equal, or similar to the marks attained in the exam is ridiculous, and using them via SAM (or whatever) to calculate UAI is a futile process.

Of course, estimations people give on this site aren't sure-fire either - the strength of a cohort may vary from year to year, and we don't have exact figures of average UAI's and such, but at least we have a broader picture of:
a) the strength of the cohort, relative to the state
b) the strength of the student, in this cohort.
Which serves as the basis for the estimation given.
