My school recently told us that they have a program that can calculate (roughly) an estimate of our UAI, which I'm sure is common to many schools.
Either way, my friend went to get hers estimated and they got her to predict what she thinks she'll get in certain subjects (as in, marks) and this then would produce an estimated UAI.
Now, I was told that she told them she'd get a band five in every subject (not sure what marks exactly), and she doesn't really do any subjects that would "drag her mark down", like art.
Why, then, did her estimated UAI eventuate to be about 65?
Any explainations?
P.S. The program my school uses is not a flimsy one, and I know that these UAI calculators are not always reliable, but this predicted UAI can't be right... can it?
