That has been my plan from the beginning of the year. I'm the sort of person who isn't nervous about these things, but I become nervous when other people start talking about their own marks and ranks, UAIs - which makes me re-evaluate my own stance on the matter, so I'm forced to find out only to quench my own jitters.

I'm still anticipating the release of HSC marks and UAIs, certainly, but I'm the sort of person who'll be disappointed even if I get 100! Not that I've reached the pinnacle, but rather, I'm always wanting more if that makes sense. Disappointment is one thing, but having no sense of purpose (no matter what the marks/UAI) is another.

It's complicated Ragerunner, but you can assume that I'm preparing myself for disappointment. :)

Sounds like my parents.

Even if I get 100 they will just say, you can always do better.

Personally, as long as I can get into any non-dodgey course (such as nursin - no offence to those who want to do it, it's only me that doesn't like it) then I'm happy.

So basically 75+ would satisfy me.

Unless, I get Distinctions for everything, I'll have alot to think about. And if I Fail anything, I'll have more to think about.

In a year's time, you'll all get over your UAI, and however much (or little) study you did. It's like climbing a mountain, once it's climbed it's climbed (unless, you want to climb the mountain over and over again when there are better things to do elsewhere). Havin' said that, worry, but know that worry is like tryin' to solve an algebra equation by chewin' gum (okay, I ripped this last part off a song I like).

I'm anxiously awaiting the results too. I just HAVE to know what I got... I had tried not to think about it for weeks but now it's on my mind and Mon-Wed next week are going to be 3 hella long days of waiting. I'm so impatient, I just have to know!!

I'm going to sleep next week (hibernation), that's the plan! :)

You'll eventually have to awake from hibernation, so just hibernate after the 19th. :D

There's no point in hibernating after the 19th, when the damage has been inflicted.

I'm going to prolong the 'anticipation' period (if any) and pretend that there is no (impending) UAI release - via the hibernation. I'm going to sleep through it all.

The HSC marks and UAI release never happened. I wasn't there, you didn't see me. :D

PS, I will, as you've correctly stated, eventually awake and I'll have to see the marks eventually - I'm just going to sleep for a long time, so that I won't have to! ;)

I suggest you hibernate in some National Park without a phone. Have a watch (but without a date). Then return when you want to. :p

Throw your modem away on the 17th December.

Then get a bulldozer, and take down your letter box.

Problem solved ?

You take things too far flyin' :p

I can live with my biological clock, track astrological events, the heavens, and thanks to Gallipoli I can determine the time of day via my own shadow. I'll create my own sundial too (...not! ).

You Ragerunner, also take things too far. :p

I'll just stick to the sleeping plan. I don't want to destroy anything! :shy:

Wow, you can do all that? The HSC shouldn't cause someone with all those abilities to hibernate. :p

I can do most... I don't know about tracking astrological events but thanks to 'A Walk To Remember' I can build my own telescope! :p

Hibernation is my form of escapism - if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen! So that's the plan, and always has been - sleeping through the 18th and 19th, although in a few days my plans may change, as the 'hype' will hit me. ;)

You'd be advised to hide your modem, and pull the phone off the hook. :)

I doubt I'll be able to do all that.

Although I think people (the school) will start ringing me on the 19th.
