English Ext 1 - 7/17
English Ex 2 - 3/6
Music 2 unit - 10/31
Music Extention - 12/31
Art - 3/14
Spanish - 11/37 (Open High School)
School Rank: 40 2007 (but we used to be top 20)

My year is really small, only 31 people, I dont really understand how this affects my marks. All my marks are low 90s, high 80s. Also, i go to a music school so all of us do quite well at Music 2 and Music extention, so all the marks are really close because they HAVE to rank us.

Any ideas?

I think you have a shot at the 90s
what are you aiming for?

oh anything above 90s just for my own peace of mind. Im doing a music course next year so i dont even really need one and its usually about a 75-80 minimum anyway... but being a musician also makes me a perfectionist.

i hope to get in the low 90s at least

first in every subject but not in maths

should be possible...
wats ur schools rank? and it helps if u say how many ppl are doin the sub
eg my maths rank is 2/9 -- 2nd out of 9 peeps.

but now u look like u can defs get 85-90, unless ur school is a terribly badly ranked one!

my ranks however are;

ESL- 1/21
BUsiness Studies- 1/19
Arabic continuers- 1/18
senior science- 1/22
Arabic ext- 1/4
Maths Gen- 22/65

how low, it cant be lower than mine, mines in the 150s!!!
uhmm do well in ur externals and u should be good to go with 80+ IMO.
11 units should help too

Aim for what u think is realistic.
i was initially aiming for 98 and thought i had a shot at it. Bt ive had a lot of problems this year and have come to accept taht 98 is no longer possible for me. I think i can still get in the 90s, possibly late 90s, if i wrk really hard.
Aim realisticaLLy, and ull get there. im not sure wat u should aim for, but aim for what u think you should achieve.]
i think you could get 80s easy, so thats a start. but not sure with the schools rank..can be misleading. talk to ur careers advisor if u have one.. cz im not an expert

Hay guys I know this is kind of last minute but if anyone gets a chance can they please work out my UAI mark. I've used the SAM calculator but a couple of my friends who did the HSC last year told me not to rely on it.

These are my overall assessment task marks and ranks, (this includes Trials and stuff too). Oh and I go to South Sydney High School if that helps at all with the school rank thing.

Rank- 5/40
Mark- 87
(HSC Exam Hoping to get 80ish because I kinda stuffed up paper 1)

Ex 1 English:
Rank- 3/10
Mark- 81
(HSC Exam Hoping to get 75-80ish)

Ex English 2:
Rank- 1/1
Mark- 36
(HSC Hoping to get 75ish, did it basically at the last minute-bad idea!)

Biology:
Rank- 9/36
Mark- 74
(HSC Exam Hoping to get 70-75ish)

General Maths:
Rank- 7/44

(HSC Exam Hoping to get 75-80ish)

meh just intuition
nah just look at ur ranks and ur subs, whether they scale, ur school rank tells me how much ur rank is worth etc etc its very rough

what are you aiming for?

That worries me cause ive been told by my careers advisor im looking at 90 if i perform in my externals but i go to a poor ranked school and have some pretty meh ranks in english religion and my maths one could be better , lol i changed from a school with a rank of 50 to one with a rank of 188...

hey.... can you please give me an estimate.. no one at school is willing to predict what uai we can get..

my assessment marks (as i have calculated them to be) are as follows:

English (standard) = rank 1/60 = assessment mark ~89%
Chemistry = rank 2/5 ( behind 1st by <1%) - assessment mark ~ 79%
Biology = rank 1/13 - assessment mark ~93%
Studies of religion 2 = rank 2/18 - assessment mark -94%
Mathematics = rank 5/8 - assessment mark ~70%

any help on what uai i can be expecting would be awesome..
