Hey,
I no this issue has been posted a billion times over nd it gets really annoying, but id really like some motivation in knowing im not wasting my time doing year 12.

Art 12/33
2u Maths 44/52
English St 28/81
Eng Studies 2/10
Des & Tech 6/13

The ranking for my core subjects i.e. physics, maths, and embarresingly, standard english are extremely bad by my standards. I am aiming for aroun low 80's high 70's.......is this unachievable? If i do well in my exams for physics and maths...i am hoping that the class will pull me up with their marks... but im not confident. What should i do? I have 2 assessments for Physics which i am doing well with, which still have 2 be marked....but the only assessment for maths i have left is the trial.. I no i can do better with english, its just that after dropping from advanced which i was basically forced to do from my head teacher.....i have been a bit cocky (for lack of a better term) and i am now realising that its biting me in the ass.
Anyway, would u be able to give me a prediction?

ur not there yet but its definitely NOT unachievable.

pull up your physics first then maths then english.

and your class doesn't pull you up with marks. it makes no difference what marks you get. your mark may get scaled but then thats also moderated by the board of studies. if you can improve your ranking in physics/maths/english you should get what you want.

what kind of marks are you getting at the moment ?

well physics is really tight coz there are alot of smart people in it.....well smarter than me (4 unit people)...art is really tight 2...i got 20/25 for my last and only assessment task and im ranked about half way.....engineering studies is the same .....the guy thats beating me is getting round the 95% mark nd im around 90/92 % mark.
Maths is not so good......im getting around 40% due to not enough work earlier in the year.....so im just glad im doing 12 units......i think thats the one that wont b counted.
English im around the 70% mark which i no i can imrove alot on......
Design and tech in around 80%..........

School marks are indicative of the type of marks you will get in the HSC

If someone can get 95% RAW in the Exam, they are like the top 1-2% of the Ext2 candidates so you'll be alright.
