nothing really 'scales' your uai up as such....
IPT is like any subject if you do good, it contributes well to your UAI... if you do average then it contributes average...

In 2001 and 2002, IPT was very slightly below average with regard to scaling.

thank god :D

i'm cruising through this course,
and if i don't get a band 6 i'll be sure to get a good kick up the you-know-what

i'm hoping it'll be similar to my prelim mark,
but we'll have to wait and see the results

most of the guys in my class perform poor, if truth be known.
the average for ipt, if memory serves me well, was about 50-something or other.

one band 6, one or two 5's and the rest were 2, 3 and 4's
-mainly 3's !!

Thats because you didn't get into the band 5-6!!

If you do, it will make a HUGE difference :p

hmm not massively HUGE as such, but yes a signigicant different. To a degree the mark doesn't matter, but more so the percentile range your mark falls into.

Aim for top 5% or better and things should be fine.

hmm sorry.

but nah i meant like say for eg....... you get a band 5 in 2U maths and a band 5 in ITV. Most ppl would say maths is better because it is a Category A subject....... but a band 5 in maths isn't as good as a band 5 in ITV....

Well, lets say this........

If you get a BAND 5 in Economic it will be like a BAND 6 compare to any other subject :p

It's pretty hard-work to get Band 5 in Economic, achievable is the word i prefer to use :D
