hello

I was wondering..

with the 2003 UAI entry's for university courses... when do they actually "change" according to demand?

I know they look at demand.. but say if I put down psychology as no.1 preference and the UAI as of 2003 was 90. Do they use that old UAI to accept ppl and then as the course demand grows, then the UAI is upped a few points?

or do they do it before hand and look at the amount of ppl "about" to register for the course, but not yet accepted...??!?

the uai cut off varies at each offer round, based on the total number of applicants and spaces available for the course at that round.

no mushy they work it all out b4 offers are given out, therefore all ppl are accepted by the new UAI

They show you previous year cut-offs as an indication as to what the course is generally around, 2004 cut-offs will be published when main-round offers are offered i think around that.

I got .30 away from 80

I did:

english advanced
SDD
maths 2 unit advanced
modern history
biology
SOR 1 unit
history extension

I wanna do biotechology/b.science at UTS. The UAI is like 77.6

I'm scared its gonna go up, coz it has been going up. I just hope it doesn't hit the 80 mark..

You very well have a chance don't worry don't let that demotivate you but also broaden your horizon's you got other courses with lower marks as well right?

do Mathematics and Computing at UTS lor, and then transfer , dont worry i understand PM, alot of azn parents are stupid, i love my ones because no pressure they trusted that i can achieve wat i wanted to get in and i didn't let them down, they even had contingency plans of paying for my course if i didn't make it. So i am grateful, but they don't spoil me with tutoring or whateva, they do ask if i need it, but i say no, i do all the deciding of my life and future but they normally give pointers etc and help me ask their friends etc of wats good to do etc.
