Hey, I finally found that the above scores can be convertable...QTAC, SATAC and TISC said they could change our GCE A-level points into UCAS points and UAI...I believe UAC and VTAC also use the table to convert my grades into UAI (As I applied them both)

Here's a website from SATAC, ANU and TISC,

http://www.satac.edu.au/uniwebS2/sect02/year12sub.asp

http://www.tisc.edu.au/tiscguide/faqs.html

http://www.anu.edu.au/cabs/ucep/Minutes/2004ucepmtg2/1143a.pdf

Me (I am an Australian Citizen) for example, I got

AL:
Chinese (B, 100)
Chemistry(D, 60)
Biology(E, 40)

AS:
Physics (C, 40)

Plus ABRSM Piano grade 8 exam passed ( 55 points)

if they are willing to add them all, I get 87 in UAI :O....It's enough to admit all university courses.

Do you have any comments and experience?

Note: Uni. of Wollongong's conversion scales are relatively higher than other universities. 6 points = UAI 80

For my A2's I got:
History (A 120pts)
English Lit (B 100pts)
Economics (B 100pts)

AS

Maths (D 30pts)

I rang up USyd and they told me that I only had an OP of 92 :( According to the University of Queensland I have an OP of someting like 97 so they must all use different tables.

Well, the value is not the exact, just an estimated one for reference....the comparison between GCE Grades and UAI varies every year...the table I provided is for this year. Some uni. may have their own tables. But some of them just follows the rules of Admissions centres.

Hey, Pommy, you are as ame as me that you use GCE A-levels to apply Aussie uni. as Domestic student....It's nice to know you. ^^ :D

yeah ditto. I sat my exams in the u.k. but i have a permanent residency visa so that's why i'm classed as a domestic student, otherwise i couldn't afford it. I've applied to UQ for commerce, but i'm not sure if i really want to go there yet, or if i'll just stay in the u.k. and go to the university of nottingham. :S

If possible, you can apply Australian Passport. :)...Well, have you received your offer yet? Or you should find alternative way

Hi there,
I'm in the same boat at the moment in that I've just done my A levels in the UK but have applied to the aussie uni's , could you tell me who you rang up to find out your OP/atar as I'd really like to know mine, and I rang up UAC today and they wouldn't tell me!!

Would be much appreciated if you could! :)
