Heyy with a 58, 55 and 62 overall 174 (86 percentile) what universities should I apply for?? Does anyone know the cut off for JMP Section 1 in the past???
I'm no expert on this, but I don't think you'll make the JMP cutoff with that score if your not rural. Its normally somewhere in the low 60's, but it depends on the cohort so don't loose hope. As far as applying, you're passed the 50/50/50 requirement of some uni's and have a decent score so you might as well apply everywhere. You'll need a high 99's atar for UNSW. Are you looking to go interstate?

I don't think many people would feel that way if they got 93...

Oh, I didn't mean it like that. It was more like I was disappointed with myself regarding s1, since that was my best section last year. I'm proud of myself for improving but I'm sad that I can't really use this mark anyway. Half happy, half distraught tears lol

To be honest since its below 50 its pretty disappointing. I got 88%tile but 46 in S2 and I'm gutted that I can't go for JMP.
Yep, I feel the exact same as you. For me, I managed to get a JMP interview last year (lower ℅tile but the marks were distributed well), so I can't help but help but compare :/

Also, 88%tile is pretty good, so nice job :)

JMP is usually the low 60s, I got a 58 in S1 last year and no interview :(

Like others have mentioned, cut off for s1 is usually low 60's. I got an interview with 63 in s1 last year, if that gives you a better idea.

What are my chances of getting in anywhere? I really have no clue what to make of my results hahaha
66, 55, 53 and 86% with a 97.05 ATAR, rural as well :)

Pretty sure you can apply for JMP/Newcastle because it requires 50/50/50 with interviews for S1 60+ or JCU as well. Rural has lower entry requirements.

I was quite sick on the day of the UMAT as well, which I know for a fact hindered my performance, so I think if I resit the exam next year I might be able to do better.

I had a lot of hope for a JMP interview (since I got 50/50/50 and a 65 on S1) until I found out that my UAC preference list had a glitch and only stated that an external application was required a week after it was due in so there goes that. I'm pretty devastated about, not gonna lie - especially since I contacted UAC and UoN and both told me that there's nothing that can be done. I kept it on my preferences for some reason and it does say right now that I'm "Eligible - subject to being competitive" so I'm not too sure what that means?

My predicted ATAR is around 95 so would it be beneficial for me to take a gap year, retake the UMAT and reapply as a school leaver for JMP (and possibly UWS as well), or should I begin another degree and apply non-standard?
