UMAT for optom (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, does any1 have a clue on how much UMAT score will be needed to get into optometry in any reputable unis. If possible please give me a link of UMAT scores needed for different courses. Would really appreciate it

It changes every year but a umat of 80+ is probably competitive for optom

i know ppl w 50-60% umats who got in with 99+ atars at unsw

@maysilees yeah but i doubt i will get that high of an ATAR...what would you say if my atar is low 90s?

The minimum for optometry is 95, so you would be needing about an 85 to be recognised

hi Faris. flinders uni optometry does not need UMAT anymore. But the ATAR cut off has rose a lot this year. last year it was a minimum of 90 or above. This year its a minimum ATAR of 99.75. But you get bonus points aswell though. Have a look at their website. Goodluck

the recommended atar for optom at unsw is 95+ i believe. either way probs 80+, getting lower the higher your atar is. have you considered other unis like melbourne/flinders?

Hey there Faris, from what I've seen the umat requirement can start from 50 and above for UNSW depending on your atar. I was able to make it in with a UMAT of 57. After asking some friends, I think that if your ATAR is in the low to mid 90s, then you can make it in with a 75ish UMAT.
